Seasonal Soy Candle Workshop
Where: Rousseau’s Fine Furniture, 206 Mary St E., Whitby
When: Saturday, November 14th, 12pm - 2pm
Is there anything better than that first candle burn of the season?! We’re making fall and winter scented candles bursting with warm, cozy fragrances (think cinnamon, clove, apple, pumpkin, vanilla, nutmeg, cedar, pine, fir). The soft amber light and warm, spicy scents of a fall candle can a gentle tug back to simpler, slow evenings at home.
Candle making is a bit more than just melting and pouring wax. To make a great candle that burns properly, has a good scent throw, and looks pretty, there are some important thechniques to consider! Learn how to make your own beautiful soy wax candles by understanding the importance of temperature, timing, measurement and quality ingredients.
Each student will make and take home TWO soy candles with the following:
The Container - 8 oz. amber glass jar with metal lid
The Scent - a choice of fall and winter scents
The Toppings - a choice of dried seaonsal botanticals or bare
Winter Wreath Workshop WHITBY
Where: Rousseau’s Fine Furniture, 206 Mary St., Whitby
When: Saturday, November 21st, 11am - 1pm
Cue the holiday tunes and hot apple cider! Join me for a festive wreath class where I will walk students through the basics of wreath making while using fresh, seasonal, and local materials to create their very own masterpiece!
We will start with a handmade 14” grapevine wreath and learn how to adorn it with fresh and dried seasonal elements such as Canadian grown silver fir, white pine, cedar and pinecones, rose hips. dried oranges, and more! Each wreath ill be finished with a season-appropriate ribbon that will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own if you have a specific colour palette to incorporate!
All materials are provided. If you have a pair of great garden shears, please bring those along. If not, a pair will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE: the materials we use will be based on what is avilable locally and will vary from the photos shown! We will use a mix of fresh greens and dried adornments. The size of the wreath will be appropriate for a standard front door.
No experience necessary!
Winter Wreath Workshop LINDSAY
Where: Thairapy Beauty Bar, 3 Kent St W, Lindsay
When: Sunday, November 22nd, 11am - 1pm

Festive Table Pieces WHITBY
Where: Rousseau’s Fine Furniture, 206 Mary St., E Whitby
When: Saturday, December 5, 11am - 1pm
Impress your holiday guests with a festive centrepiece by making a seasonal arrangement that will last for weeks of cheer! By using seasonal, long-lasting stems and no fresh flowers, these table pieces should last for up to 4 weeks by making sure they have fresh water every few days. Stems will be arranged in a neutral coloured ceramic pot.
We will use a selection of Canadian grown douglas fir, white pine, cedar, illex berries, pinecones and rosehips, seeded eucalyptus, bay laurel and decorative sticks.
All materials are provided. No experience necessary!
